Sue Newitt
Sue has been making pottery for over 25 years. All of her work is based on the wheel, jugs, teapots and bowls have been her main focus over the last few years.
Wheel thrown work with form and function are a primary focus. Round generous forms and large open bowls, giving a surface for carving, altering and slip trailing, allowing the glaze to break or pool to give interesting surfaces.
Presently producing a range of porcelain in celadon, tenmoku and shino, and working on copper reds on vases, Sue's work has a timeless quality enjoyed by many generations.
The large carved and altered bowls and the jugs which are glazed in a deep glassy green make a wonderful statement in any home.
